The easiest and quickest route from Athens to Monemvasia is via the highway A7 to Corinth and Tripoli. At Tripoli you take the direction for Sparta (the sign says Sparta toll free) following the signs for Monemvasia. Once in Monemvasia drive through the new town over the bridge and you will reach the gate of the legendary Casle Town. The reception of Moni Emvasis Suites lies at 100 m. away from the gate at your left hand side. The distance from Athens is approx. 285 km., total driving time +/- 3,5 hours. Another option is after Corinth to take the picturesque road along the coast through Argos, Astros, and Leonidio continuing through mountain roads passing the traditional villages of Kosmas and Geraki. Follow through to Vlachiotis, Molai and finally Monemvasia. This option is considerably longer through winding mountain roads (aprox. 330 km - 5 hours from Athens) but well worth the reward, with breathtaking natural beauty of both sea views, canyon passes and the mountainous landscape.
